July 2016 saw us provide training on the first OnRoute digital skills course in partnership with Safe in Tees Valley.
OnRoute Digital is a programme provided by Safe in Tees Valley, aimed at people aged 15 – 29 years old who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) and live in the Tees Valley and surrounding area. The programme is designed to provide the participants with valuable digital skills to further increase their employability or access to further training or education.
During the four day programme participants are also introduced to partner organisations who offer pathways into further education, training or employment. Digital skills are an increasingly desirable asset in the eyes of employers, with the digital industry on Teesside and the wider North East, growing year on year.
RAW Digital Training deliver the training elements of the programme on the very cool and very well equipped OnRoute Digital bus! The bus is a mobile classroom equipped with state of the art laptops, screens and lots of other cool tech including DJ decks!
The programme schedule includes the most up to date social media for business training alongside visual and web design, CV building and content creation, providing candidates with a firm basis of digital skills which they can use to pursue further courses, apprenticeships and work. We use our expertise as one of the UK leading Digital skills Agency’s to bring amazing training, alongside Safe in Tees Valley’s support and follow up – leading to a great package. During their time on the course, participants create a mock business, designing a Facebook and Twitter page for their business as well as thinking about the target audience and how to use social media to further the business.
No, we will start at a basic level and work up from there, working at the pace of the learners. On the first course we had a range from those with no previous digital skills training to a marketing graduate.
The course is free to anyone who meets the criteria. Here are some comments from past participants:
With two courses now finished and with huge success, we are really excited about running another course between the 26th and 29th of September 2016.
